What My Students Say:

The Gift of Music for a Lifetime

“I’m much older now, but I still love to play piano. My piano has been my friend in good times and bad. I can sit down to play and get totally lost in a song. I’m forever grateful that I can play, it brings so much joy into my life. Thank you Mrs. Galina!”

-Stephanie N., Former Student

About Me:

I formerly taught in Europe and have been teaching in the United States since 1990. Many of my students who started at an early age (5-6 years old) studied until graduating high school and attended some of the best universities.

My students learn to play Classical music from different periods; Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Contemporary as well as, Pop and Jazz selections.

Most importantly, I enjoy teaching and witnessing my students grow musically and intellectually.

Develops Key Qualities of Success

Patience, persistence, and self confidence. Piano exercises memory and problem solving. It is a fantastic way to relieve stress. Playing piano improves creative thinking and encourages children to explore their imagination.

What Students Learn

It’s important for your child to like what they are playing, and learn in a way that is both challenging, encouraging, and builds on the individual strengths while working on the weaknesses. I teach music composed by various great composers such as Bach, Beethoven, Mozart, Chopin, Joplin, Rachmaninov, Schubert, and many others.
